Located in Chapel Allerton, our Leeds shop was voted Best Bike Shop in Yorkshire by Cycling Weekly and is one of the longest running bike shops in the city. The friendly and knowledgeable team have over 50 years of combined experience as well as two professional cycling athletes, so you can rest assured that you will be in good hands!

With one of the largest selections of bicycles in West Yorkshire, we have electric bikes for sale, as well as non-electric and kids' bikes from top brands including Specialized, Giant, Liv, Folding Brompton Bikes & Brompton Electric Bike, Kalkoff e-bikes, Whyte, Tern, Frog Kids Bikes and many more. ELECTRIC BIKES

As e-bike specialists, we are here to help you find your perfect electric bike!

We stock top brands including Specialized, Whyte, Kalkhoff, Giant, Gazelle, and Brompton which means you know you’re getting a bike that is reliable, comfortable, and fun to ride.

We also stock an array of electric cargo bikes, which are fully adaptable to your business or family transport needs. Tern e-cargo bikes are designed to carry up to two kids, a week's worth of shopping, or 200kg of cargo with ease. Visit our shop to see these impressive bikes in the flesh. While the Riese & Muller e-cargo bikes all have a Bosch Performance Line CX Gen4 motor which provides an a abundance of power without delay.

Cycling should be as fun and as easy as possible for children. We take pride in stocking only the safest, most reputable, and lightweight brands, including Frog, Giant, Whyte, and Specialized, who make both girls' bikes and boys' bikes in a variety of colours and styles.

Our pedalless Frog balance bikes are a great option for little ones just starting out. When it’s time to move on to pedal bikes, choose from our wide range of kids' bikes with sizes all the way from 3 years old up to teenagers.

To help you find the right fit, take a look at our kids’ bike sizing guide or pop into the shop for expert advice and fittings by our friendly staff. For your safety and comfort, all our kids’ bikes (and adult bikes) come with a free 6-week check to ensure that they remain in tip-top condition.

Servicing & Repair

We'll gladly perform any repair, whether it's a quick inner tube change, a new set of wheels, or a groupset overhaul. You can view our pricelist online and free feel to contact us for any questions or appointment availability. We offer:

A free safety check-over and estimate before carrying out any repair
Free advice
Repairs for any bike type regardless of whether it was bought from us
Handbuilt wheels

Fast Repairs - if you schedule the repair ahead of time and bring your bike in before 12 noon, we can generally have the bike ready for you to collect the same day. We also sell all the tools required for maintenance including bike stand for maintenance

Our founders, Gerry, Chris, and Morag believed that being a cooperative was a fairer, better way of doing things. The philosophy of Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative is to provide a welcoming and friendly environment run by staff that are trustworthy and knowledgeable.

After working with us for a year, every employee is invited to become a member of the cooperative with an equal share in the business. So, we’re all in it together, and that’s what makes the bike coop a great place to be!
