While some of our customers delight in spending a weekend diligently tweaking, overhauling or repairing their bicycles, many riders do not have the time or the tools to do it themselves. Pop your bike into the shop for a free safety checkover so we can discuss your service requirements. We offer repairs in:-

To simplify your choices, we have created a Service Menu to help you select the most appropriate type of overhaul. If your needs are more specific there is a full list of prices here or please ask for a quote. We are happy to do any repair, be it replacing an inner tube on the spot, building a new set of wheels, or e-bike diagnostics.

Any bike:

We will repair any make or model of cycle regardless from where it was purchased. We are certified to service Bosch, Brompton, Shimano & Specialized e-bikes. We are not able to service aftermarket motor conversions or modified e-bikes.

Handbuilt wheels:
Any hub & rim combination, and any spoking pattern. If it can be built we will.

Fast Repairs:
If you book the repair in advance, and bring the bike into the shop before 12.00 noon, we can usually have the job completed that same evening. If you just need some advice on how to make your bike work safer and better, just pop in and discuss your requirements. Advice is free.

Basic Service - £50 (excluding parts)

The Basic Service is the mechanical equivalent of a general check-up. If you don't use your bike regularly, this might be all you need to gain the peace of mind that your gears and brakes are in good working order. This service does not include investigative work; however, our mechanic will highlight any obvious problems that would fall outside the scope of the Basic Service. We will also let you know if there are any parts we recommend replacing. Includes:

Check and adjust brakes and gears.
Check and inflate tyres.

Standard Service - £100 (excluding parts)

The Standard Service is our most popular service. For regular bike usage, we recommend this comprehensive service, in which we inspect the entire bicycle. The Standard Service includes a six-month warranty on labour and a one-year warranty on new parts installed. Any new parts required will be highlighted by our mechanic when the bicycle is received, and a separate quote will be provided. Includes:

Check and adjust brakes and gears
Check and inflate tyres
Check and externally adjust hubs, headset and bottom bracket
Replace brake blocks/pads (if required)
Lubricate cables (replace if required)
Lubricate chain and derailleurs
Check/tighten all nuts and bolts
Drivetrain Clean
Test ride
6-month guarantee on all work carried out

Deluxe Service - £180 (excluding parts)

To make this service truly deluxe, we strip your bike down to the bare frame. Every part is carefully checked over before it is refitted. Serviceable bearings are regreased. New cables, bearings, and brake pads are fitted if required. The drivetrain is thoroughly cleaned. If you ride every day, or you’re contemplating a big ride, or you want your bike to work better than new, we recommend treating it to a Deluxe Service. Includes:

Check and adjust brakes and gears
Check and inflate tyres
Check and externally adjust hubs, headset and bottom bracket
Replace brake blocks/pads (if required)
Lubricate cables (replace if required)
Lubricate chain and derailleurs
Check/tighten all nuts and bolts
Complete strip down and rebuild including headset, bottom bracket and hubs (excludes hydraulic brakes, suspension forks & shocks)
All threads cleaned and chased
Wheels trued & tensioned
Test ride
A 6 month guarantee on all work carried out

Please note: prices quoted on this page cover labour charges. An additional charge will be made for any parts fitted at the service, such as brake blocks, cables and bearings, unless otherwise stated (for instance, there is no charge for brake fluid when we bleed hydraulic disc brakes).
