We are looking for an SEO Specialist to manage and improve search engine optimisation by using techniques including keyword research, copy optimisation, article marketing, site structure, URL re-writes, blogging and link building as well as paid search marketing and digital re-targeting and others.

We are looking for someone with commitment, initiative and enthusiasm with proven ability to organise, prioritise and meet deadlines. A critical element of this role is to improve rankings, increase traffic and conversions then deliver detailed and accurate reporting. You will need to have experience of planning and developing ecommerce SEO and creating content which builds ranking, profile, traffic, conversions and sales.

The role is full time (37.5 hours per week) based at our head office in Dalmeny, although there is scope for some hybrid working.

The Technical SEO Specialist will be accountable for:

Conducting in-depth keyword research and traffic analysis
Developing and evolving an SEO strategy and plan.
Proposing new campaign and keyword ideas for both paid and natural search in line with wider marketing campaigns
Continuously analysing trends, keywords and seasonality in search to help inform the SEO strategy and develop ad and content campaigns
Analysis of user data and customer insights to truly understand the customer and their journey
Carrying out comprehensive conversion rate analysis and ROI tracking
Collaborating with the Content Manager to ensure content is developed according to keyword plan
Editing and refining content in accordance with strategy where necessary
Working with IT team to ensure SEO is considered and supported in development work, and to get SEO changes implemented
Building process and protocols internally that ensure all content is optimized across all platforms and user experiences (website, social, video, blogs, ecommerce etc.)

The successful candidate must have:

A reputation for being highly-motivated with a readiness to tackle challenges head-on.
Demonstrable commercial awareness.
Excellent communication skills; must be a personable, confident team player with the ability to build strong collaborative relationships
Delivery of industry leading content campaigns
Effective and proactive project and relationship management
Experience in delivering to deadlines; being target and results orientated
Excellent analytical / reporting and Excel skills
Ability to present confidently to all levels of management
Strong attention to detail, being highly numerate
Proven ability to take responsibility and ownership of assigned tasks; able to handle multiple work streams and deliver to agreed deadlines, managing priorities and focusing as needed
An excellent understanding of HTML mark-up including Canonicals, Robots.txt. XML mark-up, HTML tags
Advanced knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Excel.
